Job Overview:
- Reads the layouts and/or set-up instructions and safely performs set-ups on a variety of presses and/or other machinery to produce a variety of multi diameter quality parts, which includes the removal and replacement of dies, etc., as necessary
- Reads the layouts and safely performs set-ups on auxiliary equipment
- Troubleshoots and problem solves machine, tooling, and equipment problems
- Maintains tooling and fixtures, including repairing and/or replacing as required
- Ensures all safety equipment is in place and press can be operated in a safe manner
- Understands what each tooling piece controls and has the ability to distinguish tooling problems from press problems
- Properly completing all required paperwork, including routers and timecards
- Understands the operation of the press and basic die theory and safety of these presses, including lifts, cams, slides, carrier rings, how to set draws, clearances between punches, trim and pierce stations, and step punches
- Responsible for all quality requirements for each job performed and strives to perform at 100% labor efficiency. Refers to specifications to determine frequency and method of product inspections. Refers to process sheet/blueprints for product specification details and use of gages. Makes part inspections according to product specifications.

Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Prefer trade or technical school certificate or diploma
- Minimum1-3 years manufacturing experience preferred
- Attend work on a consistent basis and during the assigned work hours
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Shop level math skills
- Strong mechanical background and/or ability
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to stand and stay with a machine
- Ability to use various gauges and test equipment such as comparators, micrometers, calipers, and height stands
- Metrology skills in the use of gauges
- Knowledge of machines and machine functions
- SPC training or the ability to learn SPC
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Ability to learn the WSC quality and production procedures
- Ability to understand and follow oral instructions given in English
- Moderate to heavy physical effort is required to perform normal job duties, with continuous mental and visual attention to perform machine operations. Inspections and measurements require constant alertness and activity
